His Most Christian Majesty Louis the Fourteenth by the Grace of God, of the
Kingdom of France and of His other Realms and Territories, King,
Greetings and Felicitations!
Your Majesty,
Further to detailed discussions with Your Majesty's Minister of State, the
Field Marshal and various other ministers and members of the General Staff
(though, for obvious reasons, Marquis Chabot's involvement has been kept to
an absolute minimum in view of the impending judgement upon My Lord Marquis)
it is my pleasure to submit detailed proposals regards army restructuring
and the forthcoming Summer Campaign for Your Majesty's approval.
It is formally proposed that ALL Brigades will be mobilised for the next
Summer Campaign, as follows:
1st Army
1st Division (Guards Brigade, Dragoon Brigade)
Cavalry Division (HGDS, HVY)
2nd Army
Frontier Division (Frontier Regiments)
3rd Army
2nd Division (3rd Brigade, 4th Brigade, RNHB)
3rd Division ( 1st and 2nd Brigades)
The 2nd Army will be given orders to hold our border with Spain at the
Pyranees [Defence].
The 3rd Army will be ordered to assault the Spanish fortresses along our
border with the Spanish Netherlands [Assault].
The 1st Army will punch its way through the lightly held defences between
the two westernmost Spanish Netherlands fortresses and sweep to the east,
cutting off the fortresses which are under attack from both supplies and
reinforcements. [Field Operations].

P.S. I appreciate that Your Majesty's limited time of late has been demanded
by the need to address the current housing shortage and moves to stimulate
the ailing coachbuilding industry - in addition to the, one hopes, more
pleasant arrangements regarding the Royal Wedding. Might I be so bold as to
respecfully enquire whether or not my recent proposals regarding a
streamlining of the Military Justice system have yet received any attention?
