OCC - Can I also recommend this game to fellow afficionados of the blade, the bottle and the boot?
I used to play this game for quite a number of years until I got into an argument with one of the GMs and stumped off in a girlish fit. Although the duelling system isn't as sophisticated as that in Banana, IMHO The Sun King (TSK) is an excellents game. Set, like Banana, in the Louis XIV period, it has all the extra 'bells and whistles' of add-ons - Residences, Estates, the Royal Court, Parlements, the Church as a career, the Provinces, extra Talents and Abilities, and so on. It currently has 40 players. TSK started life, I think, as a play by mail game. Consequently it has a turn fee to cover the cost of a nicely produced, printed, turn report.
