Messieurs,
Summer is drawing near, and with it, the Summer Campaign.
As members of France's premium regiment, His Majesty, and indeed all of the
country, expect us to perform exemplarily well.
To aid us all in maintaining, nay, surpassing the high standards your
predecessors and you have set over the years, I will once again host a
series of lectures on military strategy, followed by informal gatherings to
discuss the day's results.
These sessions will be held by well-known officers in His Majesty's Field
Army, each of them an accomplished commander in his own right.
As war is a thing of unforeseeable circumstances and as such may see a
private suddenly elevated to officer, I encourage every man, officer or
rank-and-file, to participate. Furthermore, I encourage you to bring those
who will fight alongside us, for only if we are of one mind, of one heart,
will we perform at the top of our ability. Hence, I made preparations for
the first session to also accommodate our friends from the King's
Musketeers and the Cardinal's Guard.
Preparations for war cut us short on time with our loved ones, and
excellence shall grant prerogatives. To ease the burden on those we fight
for, you are welcome to bring your companions to the gatherings following
the lectures.
Drinks and refreshments will be provided for.
Sessions are to commence on the second and third weekend of March. Both
lectures and gatherings will be held at the Fleur-de-Lys.
