Indeed, I heartily wish that I had had someone of your obvious administrative talents on my staff during the recent campaign. Your previous achievements with the nation's road and water-transport networks were most impressive, I must say. As you will no doubt be aware, I am rather less than pleased with Major Lusby's performance. Since he is now of insufficient rank to hold the post of my aide I am endeavouring to have him removed without recourse to the formality of asking once more for his resignation.
