Welcome home sir. Marie greeted the Captain as he dismounted his horse, passing the reigns off to the boy he has hired to take good keep of him.
Tis good to be home Marie. When shall my cousin be arriving from the Summer home? He teased Marie greatly, offering his arm as they strolled to the door.
She is expected sometime this week. I will send word immediately that you have arrived home from the front.
Good, do so. I expect youve kept everything in order? He passed Marie off as his maid, which is a great deal the truth considering she ended up doing near all of the choirs for the residence.
Yes quite so. Its been a very easy summer with your absenseThe house remains tidy. She near scolded Arisia for her manner, she hated being treated like a maid by her best friend. The captain reached for the door, opening it and motioning for the lady to enter.
Any guests? He asked, allowing the lady in before slipping inside himself. He was very nonchalant, acting very pompous as to annoy Marie to no end.
No. Marie answered coldly, giving him a glare.
Good, get this thing off me! Arisia said, undoing her jacket and frantically trying to undress right there in the hall. Marie helped Arisia discard her mens attire, hanging it up and ushering her towards the room.
Whats wrong? Youre acting as if it has bugs in it.
Marie Ive spent months at the front, bugs are the least of my worries I want to breath! She began undoing the tight binds across her chest, which were a complete and supremely necessary accessory at the front, but no longer.
I see youre not sliced open like last time you came home.
No, only a few scratches this timenothing to worry about. Arisia laughed, it was all too much an enjoyable game for her. Theres an opening for the Musketeers I hear? What do you think? Me a musketeer! Finally, my dream regiment Marie!
I think you should stay quite where you are! The Musketeers are a far more close nit regiment than your own. The chances of being exposed as a woman are FAR greater!
I dont care about the chances Marie This is my dream! My chance. Arisia stared at her friend with wide eyes, intoxicatingly passionate for simply life.
Do as you wish Arisia but for god sakes be careful!
I will. Im growing bored with this anyways, such a lack of intrigue. Whens the next tavern performance? She dropped the military conversation, moving onto more enjoyable matters, singing. Shed near died unable to sign to herself at the front. Singing was something she did to unwind, calm down, but she couldnt risk it ath the front. It was far to busy and the chances were too great.
Tomorrow night, but Arisia wont be back in time for that. The next is 4 days from tomorrow. Many were disappointed with your little trip away whilst your cousin the captain was gone. Better be careful, you might have potential suitors on your case.
Noooo Ill just Make up some excuse like I have a Bulgarian fianc or something. Arisia shrugged, slipping into a set of night clothes to simply sleep the rest of the day and night away. Itd been a long ride back, and her was sore all over.
Careful with your lies.
I will be, I promise. Ill want a bath in the morning, I smell quite putrid.
