I have recently learned that I will be admitted to the King's Musketeers
next month. I believe two of my fellow officers are joining you in the second
week for fencing instruction. I hope that I might also learn from one so
qualified as yourself. I will plan to attend your event in the second week if
you will permit it to occur. That might prevent an uglier scene at Col. du
Bois' ball the fourth week. I also plan to make myself available as a second
to Messers de Grasse and Gouffier.
