Your Majesty,
I note that two of the most senior posts in Your Majesty's government are to be filled this coming month, Minister of State and Minister of War. I understand that Duc Alain de Mylcandonai may have retired or otherwise taken a leave of absence from public life and that very few other nobles who are also on the general staff have applied.
Having previously served Your Majesty as Minister of Finance & Marine, Chancellor of the Exchequer and Minister without Portfolio I had sort to advance my military career, however, with the upcoming vacancies for two posts of such magnitude I humbly offer Your Majesty my services for either of these two appointments. While I would have liked to have commanded the Cavalry Division this next year it seems that may well be unlikely in the near future and I therefore draw attention to my application for these civil posts. I trust Your Majesty will not be disappointed with my past services or my intention to serve Your Majesty and France to the very best of my ability.
