To: Baron Henri du Bois
From: Le Chevalier Roland Chanteur d'Aubade

My Lord,

A young lady of my acquaintance, Mlle Tara Firma, was
delightwed when I told her of your masquerade ball on All
Hallow's Eve. She immediately begged me to take her
shopping for material to make costumes. Allow me therefore
to submit to you this brief description of the costumes Mlle
Firma and I will be wearing:

Mlle Tara Firma will be dressed in the guise of Artemis,
goddess of the hunt. The main part of the costume consists
of a snow white tunic trimmed in gold thread and belted in
gold ribbon below the bosom to be worn over the smallclothes
and petticoats, but without the hoops and bustles (your
Lordship must forgive the seeming scandalousness of this,
but propriety is sacrificed only in the name of
authenticity. Allow me to assure your Lordship that the
costume is in all other wise perfectly respectable.). Boots
cross-gartered in gold ribbons are worn on the feet and a
crown of golden laurel leaves on the head. A small,
ornamental bow and small quiver of arrows complete the
costume.

I shall be attired in the fashion of Apollo, god of the
arts. The costume resembles very much Mlle Firma's
described above, consisting in the main of a brilliantly
white tunic with trim in gold thread worn over the
smallclothes and singlet and belted at the waist with a
chain of gold links. Boots cross-garted in gold ribbon and
crown of gold laurel leaves will be worn in much the same
fashion as Mlle Firma. Completing the costume will be a
small gold lyre.

In hopes that these costumes meet with your approval, I
remain

Your faithful servant,
Roland Chanteur d'Aubade.

(OOC: Sorry for the lateness of this message. RCdA askes
to be admitted to HdB's party in week 4 of October)
