The only people who do support them are those who are uninformed.
Unfortunately when you attend a public school in the US you are taught
that Israel is good, Palestine is not. If you attend Sunday School it's
practically a sin to think that Israel isn't good.

Of course the main stream media doesn't help much - I take that back -
they DO help Israel's cause.

First the media needs to portray the truth (and during Op Cast Lead no
media was allowed inside Gaza), then history books need to be honest -
and people need to be willing to see the truth. I often use my family
as a gauge. I have a family who are fundamental Christian conservatives
who pretty much believe what the church tells them. My sister is the
most liberal of them, and at least she does see that there is an issue -
though she's not at the point where she'll admit Israel is committing
major war crimes.

My father OTOH forget it. He says they are defending themselves.
That's a very easy one to argue - with a person willing to listen. My
mother simply blows a cork and leaves the room furious, telling me I
should move "over there".

I'd say that they are a pretty average family in the US... so.. it's
kind of scary. Fortunately younger generations seem to be more willing
to learn the truth. I have high hopes for our younger generation, if my
two youngest daughters are any indication - things are going to
improve. :-) (They are 23 and 25) In fact, my youngest daughter's
house-mate is going to Palestine as a photographer - but needs donations
for the cause - badly! His blog is at
http://beyondyourdoorstep.blogspot.com/ He's a neat neat guy, he gives
me a lot of hope!
