I can help there. > Basically - I did not do the glyph design - I took Dr Palash Baran Pal's font and hacked it up into the OTF However, many of the conjuncts were missing (and some of them still are) - and I had to design some of the missing ones (basically cut/paste/resizing) And after that - I just used M$ Volt to add the Open Type tables - the most difficult and irritating part To know how the fonts work - just open up any font in pfaedit (pfaedit.sf.net) and you will get the idea :D And regarding being artistic, yes, it was decided in the Bangalore indic computing conference that all the fonts developed by the members of the group will be as nice looking as possible I am trying to achieve that - though I am not very sure :).
