Hi Alex,

I answered the mail you sent on my private address before seeing this one on
the ml. So I’ll quickly answer here, sorry if it’s redundant :

FarSides is our studio -> http://farsides.com/wiki/Portal:Company

HackIt is the first proof of concept that was developed a few months ago
(http://hackit.cx/) , it is currently evolving into the environmental ARG I
described you – we’re basically keeping the technical foundations of hackit
but the gameplay/context is evolving (you can read
http://farsides.com/wiki/Hackit_-_new_version and
http://farsides.com/wiki/Missions_Ideas to have a glimpse of this new
direction)

The crew is all members of this mailing list J. In a nutshell :

2 founders of the studio, Xavier (community & open source) and I (business &
production)

2 main contractors, Vlad (programmer on Hackit) and Deborah (art design for
every aspect of the project J, from assets for Hackit and Card stories (our
second game) to the design of the wiki)

Other contractors such as Kishor or, until recently, Ilya.

Experts who share their knowledge on certain aspects of the project, such as
Proppy (programming) or One11 (game design)

And every one who has been providing some inputs in the course of the last
months.

Objet : Re: [Farsides] Video presentation of Farsides

Hi all, I'm totally new to your work. I'm a video producer/director. I am
trying to get a grip on what you are and what you are trying to do, but
between forums, blogs, wikis, I'm overwhelmed, and I want a good picture
quickly! :-)

So in a nutshell, one sentence:

What is Farsides?

What is HackIt! ?

Who is in the crew or who does what?

thanks

Thanks Marius! I'm glad you liked what you've read : ) I know it can be
quite a challenge to properly follow the mailing-list sometimes, so I
really appreciate the effort.

He does! Vlad rocks : )

Ah, that may be quite true ;p I'm not a good speaker, and I have a
tendency to just grumble in my own beard, which may have played a role
here. : ) I'll try to improve this part next time. If it still sucks in
the next video, don't hesitate to bash me over it, I'll need to learn :p

Thanks!

Xavier.
