Tarot readings, jewelry, sweet cashews. Yesterday, I walked by a guy who had pictures of windmills on his aluminum table. He asked me if I was interested in helping alternative energy solutions. Sam is an actor and writer. But he also makes a living selling windmill produced electricity to people. Edison, the power energy, offers a "green" alternative. If you want, you can ask to have your power coming from windmill rather than coal and nuclear. Sam showed me the little piece of paper I needed to fill out. Name, address, email, and an interest in that new program. Once you give him the information, you receive information online, which will tell you everything you always wanted to know about windmills but were afraid to ask. In the end, if you accept to switch to windmill power, you will pay $0.03 more per KWH, but will in average reduce pollution the equivalent of going back and forth between L.A. and NY twice in a car. As you can see, this story has great potential. (it really happened to me yesterday). There are ecology stories going on. Edison, Sam, Myself. Material, both paper and online being given. I also see the potential in video. We could see Sam on video explaining what the switching to windmill power is a good thing, with "hints" put here and there. [David] Thanks a lot Alex, this is typically the kind of material that is going to be inspiring for the game, or why not directly useful at some point (a mission in NYC, yay J). Im not sure yet what mission could relate to it but Im confident we can find something. I find that what you start here is a great initiative gathering stories that relate to environment and that will fuel our ideas for the game on a storyline point of view. Thx again, D
