I'm ok with almost everything you said about the intro mission - it should be a good base to test it. The only point where I'd be careful, is to still show quickly to the player that this is not just a conventional NGO - we need to pick the player's interest, so he needs to get a good feel/adrenaline rush from the start. If the presentation is too conventional/corporate, it will be harder to be appealing.
