Well first, it's unclear at first sight if an idea/bug should go on launchpad, uservoice, somewhere in the wiki, or in this mailing list (do I forgot another tool ?). For each idea, I've to decide if something is a bug, an improvement, or a deviant idea. As I wrote my remarks sequentialy during the testing process, it required a second iteration for each point. And then, if I know that, for instance, it's a bug for launchpad, I have to search in the bug database to ensure that it hasn't been reported before. This is time consuming, and because there is often several ways to describe the same issue this is not straightforward. Posting my remarks on the mailing list and leting the core team dispatch them ensure they will be routed to the right place by someone having the big picture of the project. Well, if everything goes as I wish, I will soon get the big picture also :) I feel that for a player, it's more natural to write a simple, unorganised email for feedback than browsing a lot of other people writings (on uservoice for instance), with the risk of loosing the motivation of reporting. This creates extra work for someone else to dispatch (and reformulate) the remarks, but nothing if perfect anyway :) -- PM _______________________________________________ Farsides mailing list - [email protected] Wiki: http://farsides.com/ List: http://farsides.com/ml/ Forum: http://farsides.com/forum/ Ideas: http://farsides.com/ideas/ Chat: http://farsides.com/chat/
