About showing email addresses, yep, it's definitely an issue - there is an entry in the development tracker to fix it by replacing the email with the name/nick: http://tickets.farsides.com/issues/464
Would that solve the issue for you? I'm not sure when exactly we'll be able to do that (we're still in early beta, and there are many many things to fix), but it's important. You can follow the progress by subscribing to this task if you want.
