Hi, I have some questions / comments regarding the tasks for alpha 1.1
Regarding flattening of sites: I think we should remove the "Hack from here" functionality from the menu and all the code. It doesn't make sense to have it if we do not have trees of sites Regarding internal homepages. If I keep the browser address www.hackit.cx then it will be impossible for players to reach other people's homebases so hacking them is out of the questions. Of course, internally I can detect what session is running and I can display the correct template to each player (stats, history etc). Also, it's not clear for me if this page is mandatory to become the user's homebase or not. If not, then the user would be able to go to let's say www.google.com and hackit and make it its homebase. And then if players are not allowed to hack each others homebases, www.google.com would be taken out of the game. I think that a solution for this would be to set that internal homepage as the user's homebase by default. The user would not even be required to hack it, it will just be his and every time he clicks "Go to homebase" it will be taken to that page. Regarding list of websites: once the sites are flatten, we have to display the list of websites instead of go to child and go to parent. Since that requirement has been moved to alpha 1.2 I'm thinking to display a simpler list of owned websites. They will not be categorized by tags. The list will look like the present go to child list but it will hold all websites owned by the user. What do you think? Vlad
