Hi Proppy, For Hackit, we are currently trying to use AjaxIM for the chat feature. However, their latest version has a number of bugs that prevents Vlad from correctly installing it and plugging it into the game (cf http://forums.ajaxim.com/index.php?topic=561 , and the forwarded email below)
Would you have some time available soon to help him on that? Don't know if you have a day to spend on this, but the ideal would be to be able to install the latest trunk version and fix the blocking bugs that prevent Vlad from using AjaxIM for HackIt. The dev from AjaxIM seem to be open to patch submissions, so it would be a nice contribution to that project, too. Let me know! This way he will be able to know > what > is required of him. [Vlad] With Josh's suggestion I got past the error from yesterday but now I'm kind of in the same position as before. I get no errors, however when I launch the ajaxim bar it tells me I'm not connected. It could be an authentication issue, it can be a server connection issue. However the node server seems to be working. In my mind the best approach, if Proppy can help, is to do a fresh install on its independent system following the steps from the readme file.
