Hi,

I did a family playtest with my brother and sister. The objective was to
gather their feelings on the game and more specifically get an understanding
of which cards were the easiest to use.

Overall, it was a good session :), the rules were understood rather quickly
and they seemed to have fun. The cards work well overall, the players were
able to create sentences and pick cards without difficulty most of the time,
even if it was easier with some cards than with some others.

They are some various reactions according to the cards, here is some detail.
Three families emerge : cards that work well, cards that are not easy to
understand, cards that are easy to understand but that present difficulties
for the players to pick a word/sentence :

good cards, with many possible words that come to mind

not easy to understand the card, therefore they seemed a bit lost when it
came to picking a word/sentence

easy to understand the card but it did'nt seem easy for the players to pick
a word/sentence

1-02-1

X (could be very good - the players found it beautiful - but seems to lack a
detail or something that would lead to inspire more)

1-02-3

lonely among the other cards)

1-07-3

instance the black thing on the face of the bird)

1-08-1

they could pick)

1-08-3

add something ?)

1-12-3

but it worked fine actually, though they did not agree J)

Of course, this feedback must not be taken too litteraly. For instance, it's
not enough to say that a card is difficult to understand to conclude that it
doesn't work, see the 1-07-1 for a good counter-example.

But maybe this feedback can still give patterns of the kind of cards that
work better than others.

Other notes from the players :

They like to find similarities between cards, or recurring characters, they
find it inspiring.

. For instance in the 1-03-3 and 1-06-3, we see characters thinking
about something, it's a pattern they find interesting.

. Or characters like the cat in 1-03-3 or the small Pikachu (? J) in
1-05-5, they'd like to see them more so they can invent stories about them
throughout the sessions of the game.

If summarize this point, it seems that they would find the game even more
inspiring if there was more coherency between the cards, like one universe
in which they could invent stories. It does not mean that the cards cannot
vary a lot from one to another, like some being figurative and others more
abstract, this still works well, but they'd like it in one visual universe.

Once again, this is not to be taken literally Deb. It's according to your
available time to make changes, and your opinion on the game. It's merely
inspiration for you if you want to make some cards evolve now or in the
future.

Hope it helps !

Thx

D
