I'll let David answer on that one, since he's the one who has to do the paperwork and payments here. ;p But actually, I personally don't see any issue with this, to the contrary. One thing to look at: it could be cheaper to take two different return tickets rather than 3 one-way tickets, which are usually more expensive. You may want to look at the actual ticket prices, to see which one is best.
