We've been wondering about doing a bit of a Django launch party at the next BeerCamp. Django 1 will be launched on Thursday Sept 4th, so it's a little later, but I don't suppose that should be a problem.
I emailed Jacob Kaplan-Moss (one of the principle Django guys) and he thinks it'd be a good idea. :) If we ever get around to doing Bangkok Django t-shirts he wants one. There isn't really anything that we need to do apart from meet each other, although we do have an idea to try to form a Thai localisation group as there is no Thai language translation of the admin interface for example. So, if you're a Django user, Django enthusiast, think you ought to be either of those, or just want to meet the coolest geeks (the coolest geeks are Django users) in Bangkok again over a few beers then please reply so that we can get an idea for numbers to pick a venue. There (almost certainly) won't be any sponsorship for this so there'll be a price per head to cover food and drinks I'm afraid.
