Hello Simon,
the "Volume Use Duration" Directive is exactly what you need and your solution
should work as needed.
It seems that the documentation is confusing here, as the volume use duration
is also checked when a
new volume is acquired for a new job.
Your first job on the next day will be written to a new volume because the old
one is recognized as
too old and thus set to used BEFORE the Job starts to write.
