Hoping someone else out there has seen this and can provide some guidance. We see this error during all of our backup jobs that write to our Tanberg tape changer. The job completes successfully but with warnings which is annoying and misleading in my opinion. The error produces no useful information and thus I have no idea where to go from here.
Here is an example of what the error looks like. This is the log entries of the backup of the Bareos catalog: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01-Apr 21:42 ripper.red.dsic.com-dir JobId 321: shell command: run BeforeJob "/usr/lib/bareos/scripts/make_catalog_backup.pl MyCatalog" 01-Apr 21:43 ripper.red.dsic.com-dir JobId 321: Start Backup JobId 321, Job=BackupCatalog.2015-04-01_21.10.00_13 01-Apr 21:43 ripper.red.dsic.com-dir JobId 321: Using Device "Tan1" to write. 01-Apr 21:44 ripper.red.dsic.com-sd JobId 321: Error: 01-Apr 21:46 ripper.red.dsic.com-sd JobId 321: Ready to append to end of Volume "A00018" at file=941. 01-Apr 21:46 ripper.red.dsic.com-sd JobId 321: Elapsed time=00:00:26, Transfer rate=73.75 M Bytes/second 01-Apr 21:46 ripper.red.dsic.com-dir JobId 321: Bareos ripper.red.dsic.com-dir 14.2.2 (12Dec14): Build OS: x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu redhat Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.5 (Santiago) JobId: 321 Job: BackupCatalog.2015-04-01_21.10.00_13 Backup Level: Full Client: "ripper.red.dsic.com-fd" 14.2.2 (12Dec14) x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu,redhat,Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.5 (Santiago) FileSet: "Catalog" 2014-12-08 21:10:00 Pool: "Monthly" (From Job FullPool override) Catalog: "MyCatalog" (From Client resource) Storage: "Tape" (From Job resource) Scheduled time: 01-Apr-2015 21:10:00 Start time: 01-Apr-2015 21:43:22 End time: 01-Apr-2015 21:46:52 Elapsed time: 3 mins 30 secs Priority: 11 FD Files Written: 20 SD Files Written: 20 FD Bytes Written: 1,917,583,852 (1.917 GB) SD Bytes Written: 1,917,586,061 (1.917 GB) Rate: 9131.4 KB/s Software Compression: None VSS: no Encryption: no Accurate: no Volume name(s): A00018 Volume Session Id: 6 Volume Session Time: 1427861503 Last Volume Bytes: 940,578,250,752 (940.5 GB) Non-fatal FD errors: 0 SD Errors: 1 FD termination status: OK SD termination status: OK Termination: Backup OK -- with warnings 01-Apr 21:46 ripper.red.dsic.com-dir JobId 321: shell command: run AfterJob "/usr/lib/bareos/scripts/delete_catalog_backup" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are using the following version of Bareos: bareos-filedaemon-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-database-postgresql-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-common-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-database-tools-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-client-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-storage-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-bconsole-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-tools-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-database-common-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-storage-tape-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 bareos-director-14.2.2-46.1.el6.x86_64 Any help would be appreciated.
