Hi Guys, I uses barcodes to label my tapes and for various reasons they have gotten out of order in the changer. Will there be any problem in changing the metaid in the SQL database so that the barcode numbers match the MetaID.
The main reason I want to do this is it will mean that backup jobs are spanning sequential tapes. And it will mean it is easier to manage which tapes to transfer off site and which to bring back etc. Attached is a screenshot of the problem i have. Regards.
