Hello,
currently I'm really struggling with the bareos config..
Especially the virtual full config doesn't work as I expected.
We have a bunch of servers running windows7 x64 and Oracle Linux 6
I would like to only make one initial full backup in the beginning and after
that I only want incremental backups and a monthly virtual full backup for
server to reduce disk space and minimize te backup window
No tapes are used, just plain disk based storage...
I figured out already how to achieve most of my goals but after doing a virtual
full and migrating it back to the initial full backup pool, the next
You do not need to migrate the data back; you can simply change the pool of the
volumes that contain
the data. That will save you a lot of copying.
incremental backup is always upgraded to a normal full backup and i just can't
figure out why...
Without any logs we cannot either :)
Please let the director wirte a debug log and send the interesting parts, then
we might see what
happens.
use "setdebug" for that, e.g.
setdebug director level=250 trace=1
No suitable full backup is found....
Must I enable the Accurate backup flag for all servers to accomplise my goal or
am I missing something ?
You should always use accurate backup with virtual fulls, as you might
otherwise loose data, but
that has nothing to do with your problem.
That is also a warning that you get in every job log.
Any help is very welcome !
Thanks in advance,
