in my sd config I have
LabelMedia = yes;
which works fine for backing up to a disk. The other day I got this message
13-Mar 00:00 backupstore58-01-sd JobId 316: Job
BackupAibvdc1.2016-03-12_21.00.00_25 is waiting. Cannot find any appendable
volumes.
Please use the "label" command to create a new Volume for:
Storage: "BackupStore58-01-aibvdc1" (/mnt/iscsi01/aibvdc1.aibv.be)
Pool: Differential
Media type: BackupStore58-01 aibvdc1
I then manually added a label, the backup continued and finished ok. The
next run for this job did not ask for a label and worked fine again.
Question: what could be the reason why it asked for a label and did not
label the file-on-disk automatically ?
