Hi, folks,

We did an update of the server that runs bareos - CentOS 6 linux, same as
RHEL 6), openjdk, etc) and suddenly my backups are hanging.

We're backing up from Windows boxes to CentOS. They've been running fine for
months, and suddenly, after the update and reboot, it hangs. A job will start,
and never end. "Never" is defined as two days, which should have been done in
an hour or two at most.

When I first found this, last week, I could not restart a job until I did
the following: shut down bareos-dir, then bareos-fd, the bareos-sd, and *then*
restart postgresql; I then started bareos-sd, fd, and finally dir.

I ran a number of backups by restarting them manually (all after the
eternally-running one are showing as queued in the gui->jobs.

That was Friday. Going through the system logs now, I see it started a
job... and that was it, it never stopped.

There's noting in the bareos logs, nor in /var/log/message. Clues for the
poor?

         mark
