I totally agree with you. 
It seems like a great solution, and based on the documentation and

 it should work

But something wired when u try to write or make a label.
I follow the command you did, and I have no idea what is wrong.

Looking in the C code compare to Bacula, it seem to me related block.c  code 
under line 644 with ENOSPC.

Maybe some one will help from the Bareos.

I can switch to Bacula, I know it should work there, but really want to stick 
with Bareos.
