Hi,

Thank you for your message.
Nope, the problem is the client (fd) is bacula 7.4 and the director/storage
daemons are Bareos.

Here is the debug when trying to initiate a backup :

debian8-fd: bsock.c:305-15 OK connected to server Storage daemon
10.10.3.30:9103.
debian8-fd: job.c:1892-15 Connection OK to SD.
debian8-fd: hello.c:211-15 Send to SD: Hello Bacula SD: Start Job
bbwnas1.2016-11-10_08.09.06_45 213

debian8-fd: authenticate.c:174-15 ==== respond to SD challenge
debian8-fd: cram-md5.c:123-15 cram-get received: authenticate.c:76 Bad Hello
command from Director at client: Hello Bacula SD : Start Job
bbwnas1.2016-11-10_08.09.06_45 213

debian8-fd: cram-md5.c:132-15 Cannot scan received response to challenge:
authenticate.c:76 Bad Hello command from Director at client: Hello Bacula SD:
Start Job bbwnas1.2016-11-10_08.09.06_45 213

debian8-fd: authenticate.c:181-15 cram_respond failed for SD: Storage daemon
debian8-fd: job.c:314-15 Quit command loop. Canceled=1

Thanks !

Rough guess, without any configuration.

Did you add the line compatible = yes in the client definition on your bareos
installation ?

By default it is set to false on newer version.
