I'm confused about the consolidate job with always incremental. It seems
from the documentation that there should only be one consolidate job a day:
Job {
Name = "Consolidate"
Type = "Consolidate"
Accurate = "yes"
JobDefs = "DefaultJob"
}
Perhaps I'm reading too much into the fact that the backup jobs in the
docs have "..." sections where it seems reasonable to fill out with
other things such as client, file set, pool, and the like. But the
consolidate job example doesn't have any "..." sections.
And it doesn't seem that consolidate jobs need a client? Or am I missing
something?
If you do a separate consolidate job for each client, how does the Max
Full Consolidations option work?
I tried:
job {
name = "consolidate"
type = consolidate
accurate = yes
max full consolidations = 30
}
And the error I'm getting from bareos-dir is:
10-Nov 14:04 bareos-dir JobId 0: Error: "client" directive in Job
"consolidate" resource is required, but not found.
This is on Bareos 16.2.4.
