I have managed to setup a daily AlwaysIncremental backup with a daily consolidate and running a longterm virtualfull backup to an offsite storage ( NFS mounted ) every month.
1. When I keep the longterm backup type as backup ( B ). Bareos can't find the 2nd Vitrual full backup as the virtual full is stored remote. And Bareos tries to find the previous VirtualFull in my local (AlwaysIncremental ) storage. 2. When I set backup type to archive (A), the VirtualFull doesn't search the VirtualFull and all works, but creates A Full backup, so every month 1TB is copied over the network. Is it possible to keep my VirtualFull remote and backup only changed parts since last VirtualFull? Or do I need to monthly run an Always Incremental to remote ( so in parallel to the daily one ? ) So in short how can I get monthly backups to remote and reduce the data amount? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "bareos-users" group.
