Just noticed the replies as I was looking into the issue again!

Glad you got it working Ralf; though I run this bareos on physical machine,
so cannot revert to snapshots.  I read through your posts and and stumbled
across the solution for my issue.

All I needed to run was from bconsole -> .bvfs_update.  When this completed
the file tree was back and working in the webui.

Whether I have some other underlying issue will remain to be seen...
