I don't know about what is the best, at least it doesn't fit my «I don't like 
surprise» philosophy, and the usual release date November/December is in the 
middle of the crazy period of the year.

So to not update by inadvertance I keep the number in hard.
Normally finishing the year with the same version, and adapt and upgrade 
during low activity months.
