Hi guys, I am new to Bareos so not entirely sure how best to setup the config for our SLA policies.
We have a 30 days data backup SLA with our clients. We used to use Retrospect and it hid things like pools from you. The default in Bareos has incr, diff and full pools and I don't know if I need all these. I just want files to persist for 30 days and then they can be pruned if they dont exist on the client anymore. If they do then keep as usual. I I would also like to know if Baroes supports block level backups for files that may change daily as they grow or get backed up from a DB system, have the same name but slightly different. We use FileMaker and it backs up the files each day and overwrites the old backups. These files are rather large; even over 40GB in size. I dont want an incr each day with 40GB in it; just the block differences between the days. I dont mind changing how I do things if people with much broader backup experience than I have suggestions or ideas on how to manage this better.
