If the client register it's ip somewhere (like a dynamic dns) and this can be resolved by the director and the storage it should works. The firewall has to allow connection to this client (dns name) for the director and storage of course.

Like connection drop on long tcp connection by the firewall, upload bandwidth etc. So really depend of the art's state of the network. > Basically the windows client must initiate the backup but so far it seems > that this feature is available only from v16 but Windows builds are v12.04 I don't understand, windows build are available in 16 versions http://download.bareos.org/bareos/release/16.2/windows/ Did you mean because you've a such old windows like xp or 2003 ? > Thank you, > Dan -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot openSUSE Tumbleweed Linux 4.9.10-1-default x86_64 GNU/Linux, nvidia: 378.13 Qt: 5.7.1, KDE Frameworks: 5.30.0, Plasma: 5.9.2, kmail2 5.4.2 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "bareos-users" group.
