just and update:
I understand now that this problem is actually the same one from above - 
the size I see is actually the size of the xbstream that should be piped in the 
first place. If I take the total size of the incremental backup minus the size 
of the xbstream - it will be several gigabytes, which is closed to logical.

But the problem that it's not being piped but written to File - still not 
solved.
