Hey,

I have started to evaluate using bareos to backup/restore data from our isilon
storage via NDMP. Currently I am testing with a backup to disk.

During some restore testing i ran into some problems as i tried to restore to a
different path (but it is the same NDMP-client i backuped my data from).

I have a file in /ifs/home/temp/test.txt (which was backuped).

During the first restore test i used where = /restore. And i just marked the
test.txt file.

The file was restored to /ifs/home/temp/ifs/home/restore/test.text.
This worked as I expected it to be according to the documentation.

During the second test I marked the folder temp/ (I also tried only temp)
and set where = ^/ifs/home/restore ("restore" is a directory I created on the
ndmp-client).

I expected that the restored folder and file would be in
/ifs/home/restore/temp/test.txt. but the folder "temp" was not restored and the
file was directly in /ifs/home/restore/test.txt

Is there some way to restore files or folders with its whole path to a specific
location. Like restore the folder "temp/" to /ifs/home/restore and the result
would look like /ifs/home/restore/ifs/home/temp/test.txt?

I hope someone can help me understand this restore problem a bit better.

kind regards,

yannic
