I have a Dell PV-124T changer. I rotate some tapes out of the changer for offsite backups. This means that there are times when the changer isn't full. I have been running with this setup under bacula for a number of years. I recently switched to bareos and have found that the storage daemon gets into an unhappy state when my changer isn't full. When a job wants to continue using the tape in the drive, all is fine. However when the job needs to switch tapes and the changer isn't full, the job gets stuck waiting on the storage. I tried just filling the changer and running "update slots". However that didn't get the job started, I needed to restart the storage daemon and then everything started working again.
Have others seen this? Is this expected behavior for bareos? -- Research Scientist Raytheon BBN Technologies 5775 Wayzata Blvd, Ste 630 Saint Louis Park, MN, 55416 Office: 952-545-5720 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "bareos-users" group.
