I recently setup offsite backups using external hard drives. I'm doing
regular backups to an external drive and then I'm using the virtual full
backups to create offsite backups. You should see my virtual full
configuration in the mail archive.
For the drives I've labeled them offsite-1 and offsite-2. Then have a
shell script that runs before the offsite jobs and makes sure that one
of the drives is mounted. Then after the offsite catalog the drive is
unmounted and an email is set.
