purge -> jobs -> <my_removed_client-fd>. That will remove remove all of the data from the catalog. Now the problem you may face is that without the client definition in place, console will likely not display the removed client to allow you to purge the data. So if you want to avoid directly manipulating the database it would be a pretty quick task to add the client file back into the directory configuration. Once you reload with the configuration you can follow these steps and then remove the client configuration again. The client definition doesn't have to work properly. It just has to be configured well enough to not throw syntax errors when loaded and it must have the exact same client name as the one you previously removed.
