Hello David, Forgive my ignorance, I have only used some spectra autochangers and raw tape drives. I am just curious "mtx -f /path/to/changer load $(slot) $(drive)" Always loads the tape into the first drive regardless of drive selected?
Perhaps some more information may nudge some more experienced user to respond here.
