Or you can just leave it alone and the volume will be recycled and reused for 
another backup.  That's the design intent of the system.  You aren't the 1st 
person that has posted indicating that you delete volumes from the catalog and 
from the file system, but I've never understood the use case that drives that 
'out of the ordinary' behavior.  I'd be interested in understanding what 
requirement you have that leads you to use a volume only once and then delete 
it, if you don't mind sharing.
