To whom this may concern: I'm new to Bareos and I have a few questions regarding installation and configuration. Is it possible to use Bareos on Windows Server 2012, making use of MySQL/MariaDB?
Will the Director work on Windows Server 2012? And are there special considerations in using MySQL over PostgreSQL? To be honest, I'm hesitant to try this on an actual system, hence the research. I've found information online, that the Director may work on Server 2012 but I'm not 100% sure. It also didn't specify the database used in the installation. Most of the information available is for Bacula which is where Bareos has it's roots. I'm not sure if the information provided is applicable with respect to Bareos. I'd appreciate any assistance you can extend regarding this matter.
