Hi Stefan, last two weeks i spend a lot of time with TLS-PSK to debug a lot of similar errors in my bareos experimental 19.x config. The goal was to complete disable TLS because the traffic is only between VMs, bareos-director and storage / client engines on one switch / VLAN.
The solution was to completely disable all encrypted settings in EVERY config file which is used by communication between director, storage and filedaemon. I mean, use "TLS Enable = no" on the client config at the director AND on the client config from the filedaemon AND on the client config for the storage daemon. Now, everything works well. At the director please install bconsole and also disable the TLS communication between bconsole and the director. Then you can test with the bconsole "status" command the connectivity between director, file- and storage-daemons. If these are without errors your config should work. Hope this helps.
