Amending ./bareos-fd.d/client/myself.conf resolved the issue:

Client {
  Name = myserver-fd
  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 20

  # Enable the Heartbeat if you experience connection losses
  # (eg. because of your router or firewall configuration).
  # Additionally the Heartbeat can be enabled in bareos-sd and bareos-fd.
  #
  Heartbeat Interval = 1 min
}

Hi,

I have encountered an issue with a backup where the data download from fd to sd seems to work fine, but the director misses
the job status after the end of the data transfer. Enclosed find my logs.
bareos works fine within my home LAN, but in this case I try to backup a server on the internet.
Here is my setup:

LAN          - fritz.box 7530 DSL router - Internet
bareos.local -      <mydomain>.de        - <inetserver>

I found a similar issue in a thread five years ago:
https://bacula-users.narkive.com/aVRUptwb/backup-finished-but-fatal-error-network-error-with-fd-connection-reset-by-peer

At the time the suspicion was that the socket was closed by the network, while in the meantime fd to sd are supposedly exchanging heartbeat packets.

Any idea how to
1. close in on the issue?
2. fix this issue with bareos configuration?

Thanks.
