i am still struggeling to get my following request fixed:
What is my current Situation:
Simple Fullbackup Job fo *ONE *Windows Server every Week writing to a Tape
Drive = LT08.
this works fine but i have to cleanup my defined volumes after they get
full.
capacaty of one backup = 3,8 TB
amount of tapes = 6 (= Pool) (Volume01 ... Volume06)
so i am able to put *maximum *of *3 *backups on each Tape.
i allways put the Tapes into the tapedriv in the same sequence (first
volume01 ... then volume02 ... and so on)
after *18 *weeks i have to *manually *delete the volumes due tue the
"AutoPrune" does not work and relable it.
What i wanna have:
bareos should overwrite the oldest tape.
here is my pool config :
Pool {
Name = Full-LTO8
Pool Type = Backup
Recycle = yes # Bareos can automatically recycle
Volumes
AutoPrune = yes # Prune expired volumes
Volume Retention = 42 days # How long should the Full Backups be

Maximum Volume Bytes = 0 # Limit Volume size to something

what am i doing wrong?
