The NAS on which I'm running Bareos is getting very full. The biggest consumers of disk space are the full backups run every three months, and I would like to migrate the oldest of those to offline storage.
However, from reading the Migration and Copy docs, it appears that migration operates on a Job-wise basis -- that is, given a Volume, it appears to consult the catalog to find all Jobs fully or partially contained by the Volume, and then migrate those Jobs one by one to the NextPool. In my case, however, my retention periods are as follows (pretty close to defaults): - File Retention: 3 months - Job Retention: 6 months - Volume Retention: 2 years All the clients are setup to AutoPrune, so all the Job records for the Volumes I want to migrate have expired and been pruned from the Catalog, suggesting that an ordinary migration job won't work (since it will find no Jobs in the Catalog). What options are available here? If I set up a Migration Job with `SelectionType=OldestVolume`, will that have the desired effect? Do I need to `bscan` these old Volumes back into the Catalog before attempting migration? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
