The dir and sd are not restarted to prevent the abortion of running jobs.
The decision when to restart these services can only be made by the
administrator.

So the bareos-fd process was restarted, dir and sd not.

Hi,
I update our bareos system on a regular basis and this works without problems.
Most of the time I do a short status check over the web ui.
There I can see the if the actual version was updated, but this seems to me to be an error in
thinking and only affects the version of the UI.
Today I updated to the latest version 24.0.1~pre19.3e3a7a6a2-19 and had to check some things with
the console.
In the console I see this:
Connecting to Director localhost:9101
Encryption: TLS_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256 TLSv1.3
1000 OK: bareos-dir Version: 24.0.1~pre10.a2e4f6ebf (22 December 2024)
Bareos community build (UNSUPPORTED).
-> the old version is still loaded.
Question.
Do I have to manually restart all bareos processes after every update?
My thinking was that this is part of the update if necessary. -> possible my
fault.
Best
Silvio
