Hello, i'd like to back up a remote MariaDB server using the Bareos File Daemon plugin "bareos-filedaemon-mariabackup-python-plugin" via the "mariadb-backup" command. I've read that this is only possible if the database server and the "mariadb-backup" tool are running on the same server. Is that correct? Since the Bareos server is usually not installed on the same server as the database server, would that mean that this plugin "bareos-filedaemon-mariabackup-python-plugin" can't be used at all? Does that mean I would have to back up all databases remotely via dump using Bareos? That would be very cumbersome. Have I understood this correctly? Regards, Stefan Harbich
