Dear Lute friends,

   most probably you all know the Christmas carol "Silent Night" (Stille
   Nacht, Heilige Nacht) which was composed exactly 200 years ago by Franz
   Xaver Grubner to a lyric by Joseph Mohr in the small town Oberndorf
   near Salzburg in Austria.

   Today, the Austrian Film Archive released the most oldest surviving
   sound and picture version of this Christmas carol. It was discovered
   most recently in the archive and dates back to the year 1910 (!). If
