That's true too, but the current way Barry is coded, it does one thing at a time with the Blackberry, and hogs the device for itself. It is possible in theory to access the databases and use the modem at the same time (XmBlackBerry does this, but you need to have the GUI open). A cleaner solution in my opinion, which nobody has implemented yet, is either a daemon gateway that does all the USB work, or a kernel driver that handles the sharing. But this is still way in the future, and we can cross that bridge when we get to it.
